As it is my first official blog post, I am determine to witness my personal growth in my life. At the time of this post, I am currently a student at BYUI, winter semester 2021. Learning academically with a Sociology Major. Planning to also receive a Master degree and hoping to establish a career in the CIA someday. With due time I wish to accomplish the understanding of how families functions as a whole that has developed within our society. In doing so, my goal should help me achieve a firm conviction to put myself into the world and what I will do personally with it. Relying on the straight and narrow path has directed me to become the person I am today. In which I am very proud of myself for. The path have not been easy, but it has been worth every heartache, pain and tribulations. When a person sees their own personal growth, They will have a gain power, confidence, new beliefs for their future journey in life. I should expect times of gladness, joy, and happiness. At the same time, events that may consists of sorrow, regrets and maybe a broken heart. But as stated before, determination with a powerful new belief will enable my conviction to continue my everlasting journey. Every post I will make, will be composed of thoughts and determination with events and experiences I may have my recent life.
To begin, my understanding of the family consists of units of 2 or more people related by birth, marriage, or adoption. Whoever you want to consider as a family is a beautiful thing. Over time the definition of family has undergoing changes due to society's culture and what it means to be a family. Many people we all have come across will likely define family differently than we do. So how can we individually define what a family really is? Is it about the current trends with popular culture? What values does the media teaches to people by defining individualism? Personally for me, it's about truth and what is the reality. Our culture after all, is define by the majority value. By the beliefs and assumption we hold, having us to make our own choices whether to believe or reject the norm and reject current customs. As far as I can see, fear has driven our society to stray from success in truth. The more fear is accepted, the more problems we will encounter. In the New Economic Reality Winter video, gave me strong examples of movements in the past that is effecting our current day and future. We see the fear and concern we currently have was due to the initial doubt that the world has had in past. How can we counter this problem? Well, it is by the simple things in our lives that can give us truth for better progression. First, I firmly believe in truth. Truth is the absolute that can never be change or to be hindered with. Forces in our lives we can have no control over. Knowing that there is an absolute out there is the first step. Second, it's to find and define the truth. Daring to know for myself, seeking it out with my best effort through the process of learning. Taking life experiences and making a lesson learn every day like a child that learns. Lastly, it is to have humility. Gaining the knowledge will not be enough for any of us. We must take the steps and make connection for the understanding with what may unfolds before our eyes. Just knowing a fact doesn't mean you found the solution! Another part is accepting that you can be wrong will take you to be on the right path. Many points in my life I have found myself to be wrong with many things due to personal pride and believing that I'm right with everything. That is dangerous for anybody, because they could be in the wrong their entire life while believing that they're correct. It is truth that we are imperfect! Especially in this life where society as a whole is imperfect.
